Executive Advisor |

Leadership, Governance & Organizational Strategy

Organizational diagnosis and executive insight.

Trusted advisory for leadership teams facing complexity, change, and critical decisions—revealing what shapes outcomes and where leaders can create the greatest impact.

What Often Goes Unseen

Organizations rarely struggle because of a lack of intelligence or effort. More often, challenges emerge from dynamics that remain difficult to identify from inside the system.

My work helps leaders recognize and address:

✓ Leadership misalignment

✓ Governance weaknesses

✓ Trust breakdowns

✓ Competing priorities

✓ Decision-making bottlenecks

✓ Stakeholder conflict

✓ Mission drift

✓ Leadership blind spots

✓ Cultural erosion

Once these patterns become visible, leaders can make better decisions, strengthen alignment, and move forward with greater confidence.

How I Work

My work begins with observation.

Organizations are constantly communicating what is working and what is not through leadership interactions, decision-making patterns, governance structures, stakeholder relationships, and everyday behaviors.

I pay attention to those signals.

Through facilitated dialogue, strategic inquiry, and organizational diagnostics, I help leaders identify root causes, surface what has remained hidden, and focus attention where it will create the greatest impact.

The goal is not simply to solve problems.

The goal is to create clarity.

Once clarity exists, meaningful action becomes possible.

Biography

  • For more than sixteen years, I have worked with leaders, founders, boards, Indigenous organizations, nonprofits, and international initiatives navigating growth, complexity, and change.

My work sits at the intersection of leadership, governance, organizational strategy, and human development. I help leaders identify the underlying dynamics that influence organizational health, decision-making, culture, and long-term effectiveness.

Organizations rarely struggle because of a lack of intelligence, talent, or good intentions. More often, challenges emerge from patterns that are difficult to see from inside the system. Leadership misalignment, weakened governance, trust breakdowns, competing priorities, stakeholder tensions, and cultural habits often shape outcomes long before they become visible as operational or financial problems.

I help leaders see what their organizations are already telling them.

My approach begins with observation, inquiry, and diagnosis rather than predetermined solutions. Through facilitated dialogue, strategic questioning, and organizational assessment, I help individuals and teams identify root causes, strengthen alignment, and focus attention where it can create the greatest impact.

Having spent my life navigating between Indigenous and Western perspectives, I developed an early appreciation for how different ways of knowing, leading, and organizing influence human behavior. Raised in New York City and shaped by diverse cultural experiences, I learned how power, identity, values, governance, and community shape the choices people and organizations make.

Over the course of my career, I have advised executive leaders, founders, boards, community organizations, and international initiatives. I have led people, culture, and operations functions, guided organizations through significant transformation, designed leadership development programs, facilitated negotiations, and supported stakeholders working across cultural, political, and organizational differences.

What energizes me most is helping leaders navigate difficult decisions, build trust, strengthen accountability, and create alignment around a shared mission. I am often brought into situations where organizations have reached a point of complexity, conflict, or transition and need clarity about what is happening beneath the surface.

I believe leadership is fundamentally an act of stewardship. The role of leadership is not simply to direct others, but to bring people, resources, perspectives, and purpose into alignment in service to something greater than ourselves. Healthy organizations emerge when leaders cultivate self-awareness, communicate with integrity, embrace accountability, and remain connected to the broader systems their decisions affect.

My published work explores the intersection of Indigenous and Western knowledge systems, leadership, governance, and organizational development. Today, I continue to work with leaders and organizations seeking to navigate complexity with greater clarity, strengthen organizational effectiveness, and create meaningful impact through aligned leadership, governance, culture, and purpose.

Writing, Research & Media

My writing, research, and media contributions explore leadership, governance, organizational effectiveness, and the relationship between Indigenous and Western knowledge systems. Through academic research, collaborative publications, and public conversations, I examine how people and organizations navigate complexity, build resilience, steward relationships, and create meaningful pathways for collective action across cultures, communities, and systems.

These contributions reflect a consistent interest in how leadership, identity, governance, ecology, and human development intersect to shape the futures we create together.

As Indigenous Peoples, our own orientation to boundaries and borders are dynamic, semipermeable sites of relational increase.
