Foundations of my work
Organizations are living human systems. How individuals communicate, build trust, respond to uncertainty, and navigate complexity ultimately shapes the health and effectiveness of every organization.
1. rIGHT RELATIONSHIP
Healthy organizations are built through right relationship.
My work is grounded in the belief that leadership requires continuous responsibility—to ourselves, to one another, to our communities, and to the larger systems we influence. Strong governance begins with right relationships.
2. indigenous Knowledge & Stewardship
Living and working alongside Indigenous communities in Ecuador, as well as my own upbringing Kichwa kañar uprising, has profoundly influenced how I understand leadership. Community life is not organized around individual achievement, but around relationship—to people, place, ancestry, and future generations. Participating in community traditions, including ancestral dances and ceremonies, has deepened my appreciation for stewardship, reciprocity, and collective responsibility. These experiences continue to inform how I approach governance, leadership, and organizational life today.
3. Human Systems
Organizations do not change because a strategy changes. They change because people do.
While governance, structures, and performance indicators reveal important information, they tell only part of the story. Lasting effectiveness depends on understanding the human relationships, patterns, and conditions that shape how organizations learn, adapt, and lead.
